Autumn game

Autumn time is a great opportunity to teach common vocabulary related to autumn such as: an acorn, a mushroom, an apple, grapes, leaves or a pumpkin. I would like to present an autumn game which is a perfect way to practice autumn vocabulary with young ESL learners.

WHAT PET HAVE I GOT? - guessing game

If your ESL students know lots of animal names, especially pets, but they need to practice the vocabulary in interesting context, try this guessing game ‘What pet have I got?’. Students feel comfortable to speak English, even those with low self-esteem or shy, when they work in pairs.

Try this Tomato activity to practise asking questions with primary students in a funny way. The Tomato game does not need any preperation or materials. You can organize the whole lesson around this activity or use it as a filler game in your classroom.
